The Gaspereau Valley Fibres Farm Wool Shop, which is owned and operated by Brenda Gilmour, opened in Spring of 2003. Specializing in natural fibres and equipment for knitters,spinners, weavers, felters and dyers, the shop carries a large selection of Canadian, organic, and local handpainted yarns and fibres.

How To Get Here:

We are located in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. 45 minutes from the Halifax Regional Municipality, and just an hour from the Halifax International Airport. For those travelling on the Digby, Cat or Portland ferries, we are 2 1/2 hours from Yarmouth, and 1 1/2 hours from Digby.

From Halifax, take Highway 101 to Exit 10, follow Hwy 1 into Wolfville. From Yarmouth/Digby, take Highway 101 to Exit 11, follow the signs to Wolfville.

From Main Street Wolfville, head up Gaspereau Avenue, across from Tim Hortons. Travel 5.3 km, up the hill, under the highway and back down in to the Gaspereau Valley.

The road will veer sharply to the left and then cross the Gaspereau River. Continue straight down the valley floor, you’ll find us 1 km past the Shell Service Station.

On your right just past the Slaytor Road, at 830 Gaspereau River Road you will find a large grey farmhouse, and three barns. The shop is located in the red barn in the middle of the dooryard, look for our farm wool shop signs.
