Located in the picturesque Gaspereau Valley of Nova Scotia, the property was originally a dairy farm. The farm is currently home to over 60 Cotswold sheep. Cotswold Sheep originated in the Cotswold Hills of England. These beautiful sheep are known for their long lustrous locks, historically referred to as “poor man’s mohair”. While once there were many Cotswold sheep, they are now considered a rare breed.
The length, strength and lustre of the Cotswold fleece make it a great sock yarn as well as perfect for sweaters, mitts and hats. The locks lend themselves to needle felting and rug hooking.
In addition to sheep, the farm is also home to a llama and a flock of chickens.
