The places where the weaver sat on the bench and held the beater are smooth with wear. It’s a counter-balance four-harness 45″ loom with overhead beater, like a Swedish-style loom. String heddles have been made for it, and a carpenter has made a couple of missing pieces. It is functional and the weight of the overhead beater is great for rugs.
