The Potluck Spinners and Gaspereau Valley Fibres invites all spinners to join in their spinning group here at the shop! Every second and fourth Tuesday of the month, join in this great circle and share a spin. Bring along a potluck dish to share and any items you'd like for show and tell. All are welcome. (Jan 24th 10am – 3pm is the next!)

What a great open house! Thanks to everyone for coming out and making it a fun day as well as for helping raise $338 for Chrysalis House! A special thanks to Kathryn from the Fleece Artist, Katie from Gaspereau Wines and Chef Brit, without you ladies, the day would not have been the same.

With the Fleece Artist coming to town, Gaspereau Valley Fibres is stocking up! Scrumptious specials including: Woolie Silk 3ply, a beautiful blend of wool and silk that is a favorite of knit wear designer Ilga Leja; dk weight of yak and camel, sure to please even the pickiest of knitters; and Lanica, a single ply 100% organic merino wool that knits up quickly to create beautiful garments. We also have a few boxes of Handmaiden seconds, and of course all the favorites we carry in the shop on a regular basis. Don't miss this opportunity as stock will not last very long!

Wool and Wine Open House

The Wine and Wool Tasting is almost upon us! Kathryn will be bringing three bags full filled with crowd favorites as well as some brand new luxury skeins to show off. Katie from Gaspereau Winery is excited to share the lovely wines from our beautiful valley and to discuss all the varieties of grapes used to make them. Chef Brit will be whipping up a storm in the kitchen creating wonderful goodies for everyone to snack on while they sample.

We want to remind everyone to bring in their finished (or almost finished!) Fleece Artist projects for show and tell. Let's inspire each other! There will be a special discount given to those who bring them in, as well as other great in store promotions and savings. We will have many Fleece Artist skeins to choose from, as well as bottles of wine you can purchase through Katie. Please remember that a donation will be collected for Chrysalis House as well. Saturday, November 26th, 2-4pm -this is not an event to be missed. See you soon!

Thrumming Workshop

Thrumming Workshop with Manda Saturday, December 3 10am – 12pm Explore the world of thrumming with Manda in this two hour workshop. We will look at the different fibres you can use to thrum, the different ways to thrum and the various projects you can make. We will make a tiny thrum slipper so everyone can try their hands at it. Workshop cost is $30 with all materials provided for you.

Gaspereau Valley Fibres would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the 11th Annual Maritime Spinners Retreat a huge success. 125 spinners, 19 vendors, and three days surrounded by fibre, friends and good times.
	We were very pleased to have Richard Ashford and Kate Sherratt from Ashford Wheels and Looms, and our Canadian distributor Marc Pelaquin in attendance to make this a truly unforgettable event. We look forward to next years' retreat in Memramcook, NB and encourage everyone to keep spinning local!
