Antique Loom


This counter-balance loom originally came from a Scottish homestead in Cape Breton, NS (circa.- mid to late 1800’s).  It has been fully restored and was used to make many treasured items. There are no nails holding it together and the string heddles were replaced with metal heddles in the 4 harnesses. One 36” 12 dent reed which “slips” into place in the above swing beater, a cogged warping beam and a unique tension system which works quite efficiently. 
Also, an antique bobbin-winder (history unknown) is for sale along with shuttles, lease sticks, reed hook, bobbins, wool, cotton, and a warping frame. Asking $1800.00 Now asking $900! Open House


Wine and Wool Tasting
Satruday November 26, 2-4pm

We hope you can join us in celebrating local wine and fibres with Kathryn from the Fleece Artist and Katie from Gaspereau Vineyards. They will have tasty samples of wine and wool for you to try and also to purchase. 
A special discount will be given to those who bring in their finished projects made with Fleece Artist or Handmaiden yarns. There will be many in store specials throughout the day as well. Chef Brit Podolinsky will provide wonderful food for all to enjoy. A free will donation will be collected for Chrysalis House. Hope to see you there!

Sweet Tomatoes with Cat Bordhi


On a brisk day at the beginning of October, 18 knitters piled into the upstairs of the shop and had what they thought they knew about knitting heels, turned upside down! Cat Bordhi gave a superb workshop on her new Sweet Tomato Heel and we are sure no one will look at socks quite the same way after seeing this method. Thanks agin Cat and to everyone who signed up.
