Sweet Tomato Heel with Cat Bordhi
Thursday, October 6th 9am – 4pm
$100 + HST registration fee (which includes lunch – think tomato thoughts!)
The heel’s shape resembles a tomato’s clean curves and is pleasant to work. Once the process is understood, the average knitter can apply it to any size sock and proceed without written directions. In this workshop, you will learn to knit a Tomato Heel, how to fit different kinds of feet, how to work the variations, and be inspired by lots of design ideas. We’ll also talk about how to use the Tomato Heel method for shaping sweaters, hoods, and other garments. Please note there is homework for this class which you will be given upon registration.
For those of you coming from away, there are cottages available at L'Acadie Vineyards next door to the shop as well as rooms at Gaspereau B&B two doors down.
